Nude Maternity Art

I would appreciate it if you would take the time to read this before looking at the pictures. I've been into model, dance, theater... well pretty much everything involving ART since I was a little girl. Just because I'm pregnant, that doesn't mean I am going to stop. Especially when I get paid to let people take pictures of me. There are some simple minded people out there that will probably have a lot of negative things to say about me continuing on with nude art when I'm pregnant. My response to their blind ignorance....

1. It's my body. I can do what I please.

2. If you don't like it, then don't look. It's THAT simple. Your opinion means shit to me anyway.

3. It's totally okay with my boyfriend. He's awesome.

4. My artistic nudes have no negative effect on the kind of person I am or how great of a mother I am. I have seen one Christian freak attack a woman for her maternity shots calling her a horrible mother. I can assure you my daughter tells me quite often that I am the best mommy in the world. My artistic career has no effect. There's a fine line between art and porn.

5. Nude maternity shoots are quite common. Babies and pregnant belly's are a beautiful part of life that should be documented and turned into art. Pictures like this frequent art museums and magazines. I have some samples for you down below....

The pictures above are; Nia Long on the cover of Ebony Magazine, Miranda Kerr in W Magazine, Demi Moore on the cover of Vanity Fair, and Claudia Schiffer on the cover of Vogue. Below is a photo of some random couple. Apparently couples like to get pictures together but I was a little weirded out by this haha. It's beautiful work though.

So now that I have gotten my point across, I would like to share my photos. The photography was Jim C Hill who is extremely professional. He's a photographer in San Fransisco, California and I couldn't wait to work with him because his work is fantastic. He also had experience working with pregnant models. Honestly, he had to be one of the best photographers I've worked with. He constantly directed me where to go and told me which expressions he wanted out of me. Normally, I have fun and I'm all over the place but things have changed since I've been pregnant and I cannot think properly. He was a big help. He was constantly moving my hair around and putting it into the right place. For models in California, I highly recommend you work with Jim. You will not regret it.

My boyfriend told me he doesn't understand how easy it is for me to get naked in front of a camera. The truth is, it's not always easy. I am a true nudist and absolutely HATE wearing clothing. When my daughter is at school or away for the weekend, I wear no clothes the entire time. My first nude shoot took place when I was 19 and I was sooooo nervous. It was hard but so worth it after I saw the pictures. I've always had a love hate relationship with my body so it's also therapeutic for me. We should all be proud of our bodies. I will continue to do nude art until my tits drop and I get wrinkles. :)

More will be added later. He took around 400 photos. Below are two pictures from the shoot with Roxy Vandiver. I cannot wait to add the res of the photos. These two are credited to LJ. Roxy also took several maternity pictures of me as well.

Adding more now!

  1. Pregnancy is beautiful. Nudity is beautiful. And you are beautiful.

  2. I think pregnancy is beautiful, and the pics are great, good job!

  3. Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing. :)

  4. Pregnancy is beautiful!! I think every woman should be very happy that they get the opportunity to show off their body while pregnant! Men should be very envious, because they don't get to share their body with another living being!

  5. Rebekah, you are so beautiful! Im so jealous because I didn't look like this when I was pregnant. Continue on with what you do and pay no attention to anyone who judges you for your talent. Excited to see more! Happy to have you as a friend.
